Marie-Noëlle Erize receives Farola award amongst other commendable women

The Instituto Andaluz de la Mujer honoured Marie-Noëlle Erize as a leading businesswoman in Malaga at the Farola Awards

The most recent Farola Awards brought together the most outstanding women in the categories of Business, Sport, Culture, Hospitality, Science, Education, Media, Social Justice and Equality

Marbella, 11th December_ The Centro Provincial de la Mujer in Malaga of the Instituto Andaluz de la Mujer (IAM) celebrated the fourth edition of the Farola Awards in the Instituto Andaluz del Deporte with the aim of recognising and valuing the career paths of female professionals in Malaga who, with their dedication and effort, develop important projects and initiatives worthy of appraisal.

The prize winners were Marie-Noëlle Erize, for her professional career in the fields of Communication and Public Relations with her agency MN Comunicación, the female sailing team ‘Woman Essentia-Les Roches’ (made up of María Fiestas, Marina Casado, Ángela Pumariega and Lucía Guerrero) in the Sport category, Isabel Conde Marín for Culture, Alejandra Pérez Muñoz for Hospitality, Mercedes Siles Molina for Science, Teresa Vera Balanza for Education, Ana Isabel Bernal Triviño for Media, Yolanda Verdugo Delgada for Social Justice and Solidarity and Noemí González de la Plata for Promotion of Equality.

Among the eight categories, both the winners for Business as well as Sport were from Marbella. This represents a real credit to city, which has once again shown its potential.

Marie-Noëlle Erize Tisseau

Marie-Noëlle Erize Tisseau, from Argentina and born to French parents has lived in four different countries: Spain, Venezuela, Argentina and France, where she has worked applying her skills to the world of public relations, communication, marketing and advertising. With her university level education in Public Relations from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), as well as expertise in Business Protocol, Customer Care, Hotel Quality, Business English, Management of Sales Teams and Managerial Skills, she has been more than capable of leading the different projects in which she has collaborated throughout her 40 years of professional work.

Marie-Noëlle Erize´s relationship with the business world in Marbella began in 2001 when she was appointed Founding Partner of Red Tiempo Libre, nursery and children´s centre, and later occupied the role of Director of Public Relations and Communication at Incosol Hotel Medical Spa for several years. After spending time at various companies, she decided to commence her own project and in 2010 founded Marie-Noëlle Comunicación, a bilingual agency of Public Relations, Communication and Events (www.mncomunicacion.com). In 2009, she became one of the eight founders of REM (Red Emprendedoras de Marbella), a company for which she has been in charge of communication and public relations for many years to follow. She has also been linked to the Asociación de Mujeres Profesionales y Empresarias de Marbella since 2014 until present. Earlier this year, she was chosen to speak at International Women’s Day on 8th March in the Marbella Town Hall.

This year has been very important for female sailors and for Marbella. A boat of four women ‘Woman Essentia-Les Roches’ represented Malaga in the 38th edition of the Copa del Rey, which features predominantly male participation. With more than 20 applicants for 11 boats and after a hard selection process, María, Marina, Ángela and Lucía were fortunate enough to be chosen to compete. It was the first time that the four of them sailed together, as well as their first time in the competition boat and first time in the female category. In the end, they triumphed in fifth position.

María Fiestas (boat owner), Marina Casado (captain), Ángela Pumariega (strategy and tactics) y Lucía Guerrero (timoneer, in charge of the mainsail), are women of different ages and backgrounds who manage to balance their personal lives and work with sailing: a high performance sport taking them to National, International and Olympic competitions. Countless trophies and an Olympic gold medal saw these women presented with an award at the fourth Farola Awards.
