ABOUT  BUILDING THE FUTURE:

The Association Building the Future was started by María José Jiménez, Office Manager of NVOGA, to help the children of Uganda go to school through the Rwenzori Child Care program.  Secondary school is incredibly expensive in Uganda, and few children are able to attend unless their families have a high economic income or receive external help. María José saw this problem in one of the rural schools close to Kasese, Rwenzori Focus Primary School, where 170 children from the area were enrolled.  The torrential rains had destroyed the main school building, inciting María José to come up with the idea to try and raise funds to help with the construction of the new school. Building the Future was born out of this need to help facilitate and provide schooling and education for children in these rural areas of Uganda.

ABOUT CENTRO DE ATENCIÓN A LA DIVERSIDAD INFANTIL de MARBELLA:

This is a small charitable association in Marbella made up of families, children and youths who suffer from any type of handicap, whether it be physical, intellectual or sensorial.  Their main objective is to have the funds available so that they can offer resources, therapies and aid to those families who need it. They offer a complete program of activities, ranging from therapeutic to sporting and social, which are always aimed at the needs of each individual.  Sport is the most successful method through which these objectives are obtained. Currently there are 11 disciplines used by the association in Marbella, such as swimming, basketball, equitation, padel, surf, golf, etc. In the 38th edition of the Copa del Rey regatta, one of the boats competing had two crew members who were members of this association.  They have one of the first social programs available in the city, where these youths can go out and have dinner and enjoy themselves like the rest of their peers, whilst being supervised by a monitor or a volunteer. They have also just opened their door for parents in order to help these families who are going through this experience.
