Marbella Luxury Weekend amazes again

Marbella, 7th of June 2014: Luxury, fashion and design were again the focal point of the day. Ana Antic, a personal shopper and one of the most reputable bloggers in the nation held an interesting masterclass in the morning at the VIP Carpa de la Torre. She spoke about interesting topics including: what to take to different cities, what to wear on a busy day when you have no time to change, how to impress in a job interview, etc. But above all, she emphasized the need to take care of personal image, for both men and women.

The stylist insisted that both at work and in everyday life that it “is essential to cover the flaws and highlight the qualities.” In this sense, Antic advised on how to adapt clothing to each individual character to be able to achieve the look you want.

After the masterclass there was a conference about the world of fashion, the internet and social networking. Ana Antic was of course present along with; Nuria Sardá, creative director Andres Sardá; Alex Gutierrez, PR Elite; Verónica Hidalgo, model and presenter, and the fashion journalist and presenter of Radio Television Marbella, Roberto Caballero.

During the day bloggers, journalists, and the general public enjoyed the cocktail opening of the new BDBA boutique in Puerto Banús and saw the new SS14 collection. They have organized a raffle where the winner will receive a spectacular clutch bag from the store.

Meanwhile, the amazing shoemaker Tod’s hasn’t stopped working in the tent located on the front line of Puerto Banús meeting the demands of the customers who have been placing their unique orders for their custom made shoes.

Outdoor Concepts, the exclusive outdoor furniture firm invited everyone attending MLW to enjoy a glass of wine at their tent. Many other participating firms have also chosen to greet their guests with champagne and cava.

Meanwhile, Funky Buddha held a free Mojito tasting to the MLW attendees and a free pass to Seven, Kube and Funky Buddha. Also, Sinatra Bar has been offering its visitors the option of choosing the new cocktail of the year. This was led by the Grey Goose Brand ambassador and all his guests were “judge and jury”.

The presentation by Elite was one of the biggest highlights of yesterday, the Candela Barbie by Cisco Romero. A vintage looking doll with striking gold and shiny jewellery. In the evening they held another party in their woman store.

Salvatore Ferragamo and La Zagaleta held a traditional party for their invited VIP guests, with a live demonstration of the “one thousand ways to wear a silk scarf”.

Marbella Luxury Catwalk sponsored by Plaza Beach amazed attendees once again, La Oca Hats, Andres Sardá and Marbella Design received a standing ovation from the audience.

La Oca Hats displayed 30 model hats, turbans and headdresses all very unique, to wear on special occasions. Meanwhile, Marbella Academy Design, presented their new designs on fashion students and Andres Sardá, presented his collection “Welcome to Fabulous”, bright, spectacular, sophisticated, feminine and elegant. This collection was exhibited for the first time in Marbella with a proposal that lingerie becomes a journey into a territory in which only matters in the here and now and the beauty is the undisputed star.

Marbella Luxury Weekend has been a witness to the brand´s designs. The delicate lines fall perfectly on the model´s body and provocative transparencies flow with subtle movements. Luxury, glamour and sophistication define this new brilliant, spectacular, sophisticated, feminine and elegant collection. The models were wearing the jewellery from Gómez & Molina Jewellers.

The Boutique Tourbillon boutique also presented “The Dark Side of the Moon”, by Omega, in an exclusive and elegant party.

El Corte Inglés has offered MLW attendees free parking for the entire four days of the event, a real help to ensure everyone can come and enjoy themselves.
