International Fashion Brands in Marbella Luxury Weekend

Custo Barcelona, Andrés Sardá and Bikkembergs will participate in the catwalk at Marbella Luxury Weekend 2014. Major international designers will present their collections in this fashion focused edition.

Marbella, 13th May 2014: The fourth edition of Marbella Luxury Weekend will feature a section “Special Fashion”. Designers and international brands such as Custo Barcelona, Andrés Sardá and Bikkembergs will present their most unique collections on the floating catwalk, within what has been called “Marbella Luxury Catwalk“, a unique idea where the models parade on the water of the Mediterranean Sea.

Custo Barcelona will present a selection of models from their last two parades, “Whisper” and “Chic Contemporary Colour”, presented at the fashion week in New York. The use of graphics, colour and the combination of textures create the DNA of the brand, they are a chic and refined vision.

Andrés Sardá meanwhile will present his collection “Welcome to Fabulous Andrés Sardá” with a few pieces from his latest swimwear collection and other iconic pieces from the brand. A bright, spectacular, sophisticated, feminine and elegant collection.

Bikkembergs will present their 2014 spring-summer collection displaying garments from their finale catwalk in Milan. It will be a primarily male catwalk in which as usual, sports and luxury will unite with the concept created by the brand: Sport Couture.

The luxury Austrian firms Wolford and Swarovski will open the innovative floating catwalk at MLW on the night of the 5th of June. Models will parade down the catwalk over the sea wearing the perfect ‘summer look’, and they will exhibit for the first time the new elements of the Wolford 2014 spring-winter collection, combined perfectly with the Swarovski jewellery collection. Also, the fashion brand will be responsible for dressing the MLW hostesses. No expense spared to provide a luxurious fourth edition.

Meanwhile, the designer Carmen Diaz by La Oca Hats will present an eclectic, elegant and very feminine collection on the “Marbella Luxury Catwalk” inspired by the golden years of Christian Dior and Balenciaga and the film divas such as Marlene Dietrich or myths like Eva Peron. She has worked with various fashion designers at Madrid Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, such as Roberto Verino, Moisés Nieto and Duyos, with whom she won the L’Oréal Paris 2013 MBFWM Prize for best collection.

Other brands, such as the silk kaftan firm Sena Design, will join the fashion show which has been organised by the Tourist Board of the City of Marbella.

The Elisabeth Reyes modelling agency and the Hair Stylist Blue 01 by Felix Rojas will be the main stylists for the catwalk models. A luxury backstage for a unique event. This will be a very special edition where fashion takes on an important role.

The varied fashion shows will be taking place from the 5th to the 8th of June characterised by their elegance, luxury, style and glamour. Which qualities are also present in all the other fashion companies participating in MLW such as Salvatore Ferragamo, Tod’s, Hoss Intropia and Elite.

This year, Salvatore Ferragamo will yet again surprise you with its elegance showing its boutique customers a fashion show of their Summer Collection and a preview of the Winter 2014 collection Prêt-à-porter. The brand will give a demonstration on the “1000 ways to put on a silk scarf,” ​​which will be held at their private party with La Zagaleta.

Also worth noting is Elite’s extraordinary contribution to this year’s MLW. As well as their respective parties “man” and “woman”, this year the company will present the first Luxury Barbie in the world by the jeweller Cisco Romero, and it will feature a collaboration with the firm Mattel.
