11th of December 2015, Marbella: This morning, Ambrosía´s Gourmet Market in Marbella, embraced a Christmas master class performed by the renowned chef, Aitor Perurena of Estudio Gastronómico. Throughout the event, (which accumulated 30 people), the gastronomic professional demonstrated his expertise and talent whilst teaching guests how to make dishes such as: roll of foie-gras and olive oil jam, white prawns with coconut and oriental bread and for the main course, crab cannelloni and King prawns. Ambrosía´s own Wine Gallery has recommended different wines for each dish. They suggested the reserve red wine from Linaje Garsea to compliment the snacks and Albariño to accompany the main course. Perurena stated that “it´s a luxury and an honour to collaborate” with a worthy and charitable cause like this one. As a result, all funds and proceeds that were raised at the event will be donated directly to the Cesare Scariolo Foundation, an association that aims to help children with cancer, as well as to support the social and psychological effects it has on their families. The class also welcomes the presence of the Spanish national basketball team´s coach, Sergio Scariolo, who is also the president of the organisation. Scariolo wished to acknowledge the help and collaboration of Ambrosía, Perurena and the participants. He also expressed the two main objectives of the association, to focus on local children and the fact that the money raised from various projects and events will go directly to these suffering kids.

Ambrosía´s Gourmet Market marks a charitable month, showing their commitment through diversifying and coming up with innovative ideas. Another good cause is that of the Casa de la Buena Vida, an association that aims to integrate the gypsy community Palma-Palmilla. Funds to aid this association will be made up at the market´s charity dinner next Thursday the 17th of December. Additionally, next Sunday the 22nd of December, the “No child without a toy” initiative will be launched at Ambrosía. This is a collection whereby people can choose to collaborate by donating presents, or old toys (that must be in good condition) that will make their way into the arms of underprivileged children throughout Marbella and San Pedro Alcántara. This was all made possible thanks to the Unjuguete.com association.

The celebration of events in Ambrosía has become a benchmark in the daily development of the market, since its opening last July in Puerto Banús. Practically every week one can find new plans and events for everyone whilst catering for all budgets. In addition to the charitable aspect, Ambrosía has planned a Christmas filled with events, including company lunches and dinners. To celebrate this festive time of year, endless possibilities in terms of prices and products will be available to all. On the 31st of December, the market will host the traditional New Year´s Eve party, where you can expect a plethora of entertainment including; live music, the traditional cotillón and the various menu´s to the delight of the customers. There is a long list of upcoming occasions to send the market into 2016, where they will continue to make Ambrosía an entertaining and dynamic place to visit.
