The Friends Association of the University of Tel Aviv in Spain, the organiser of the event, delivered the first Maim\u00f3nides prize to Padre \u00c1ngel for his work at the head of Messengers of Peace.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Madrid, 14th<\/sup> September 2017<\/strong>– The Friends Association of the University of Tel Aviv in Spain celebrated yesterday in the Villa Magna Hotel the conference \u00b4El role of intercultural communication in international diplomacy\u00b4. The conference was led by Professor Yoav Tenembaum, teacher of the Diplomacy program of the University of Tel Aviv, with the collaboration from the excellent Ambassador of Israel in Spain, Daniel Kutner.<\/span><\/p>\n

Felipe Sahag\u00fan, a recognised journalist specialised in international policy acted as a moderator in this meeting in which they revealed the secrets of how interpretation of the same facts and words under distinct cultural codes can affect international relations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tenembaum emphasised the importance of what he referred to as \u201cprofessional sub-culture\u201d, as that of professional diplomats, \u201cin trying to reduce the adverse impact of problems in intercultural communication\u201d. With its ninth position, the centre forms part of the top ten universities of the world with the most successful undertakings, as their start-ups are the ones which, in the opinion of the analysts from the prestigious PitchBook, generate the most funds and is the first ranking of a university situated outside the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n

The conference was led by Professor Yoav Tenembaum, teacher of the Diplomacy program of the University of Tel Aviv, with the collaboration from the excellent Ambassador of Israel in Spain, Daniel Kutner. Felipe Sahag\u00fan, a recognised journalist specialised in international policy acted as a moderator in this meeting in which they revealed the secrets of how interpretation of the same facts and words under distinct cultural codes can affect international relations.     Tenembaum emphasised the importance of what he referred to as \u201cprofessional sub-culture\u201d, as that of professional diplomats, \u201cin trying to reduce the adverse impact of problems in intercultural communication\u201d. With its ninth position, the centre forms part of the top ten universities of the world with the most successful undertakings, as their start-ups are the ones which, in the opinion of the analysts from the prestigious PitchBook, generate the most funds and is the first ranking of a university situated outside the United States. During the course of the event, the Friends Association of the University of Tel Aviv in Spain delivered the first Maim\u00f3nides prize to Padre \u00c1ngel for his work at the head of Messengers of Peace. With this award, the University of Tel Aviv in Spain wants to highlight the work of the organisation in favour of the integration and harmony between villages without making gender, race or religious distinctions, as well as its tireless work in life defence and its fundamental values. Padre \u00c1ngel received the prize from the hands of the copresidents of the Association, Patricia Nahmad and Isaac Querub. \u201cFor this first edition of the Maim\u00f3nides prize we wanted to recognise a person who embodies values of harmony and cohabitation and who works in a proactive way for the integration of the most disadvantaged\u201d, explained Nahmad. For its part, the representative from Messengers of Peace emotionally accepted the award, moved by the fact that a university of Israel is awarding this prize. He also had some warm words for the Jewish community, to those who he considered \u201cthe older brothers in faith\u201d.
