The event was presented this morning with the assistance the Councillor of Sports, Javier M\u00e9rida, the Head of Emergency Services for the Marbella Red Cross, &nbsp;Alejandro Fernandez and the manager of Centro Plaza shopping centre, Carlos Garc\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p>During the presentation, the Councillor &nbsp;pointed out the importance of these private initiatives which aid in the promotion of sporting and charity events and encouraged citizens to participate: \u201cIt is a pleasure for the Town Hall to participate in events like these\u201d added M\u00e9rida, who will not be running this year but will be present to support the event. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Carlos Garc\u00eda, manager of Centro Plaza, highlighted that \u201cInscriptions can be made online, at <a href=\"http:\/\/centroplaza.es\">centroplaza.es<\/a>, through Dorsal Chip or in person at the Centro Plaza management offices which can be accessed directly from the parking lot of Centro Plaza, &nbsp;until noon on the 25th of January. For those who decide to enter last minute, they may do so at the starting point of the race before it begins, between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM\u201d. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p>Inscription prices are 8 euros for adults and 3 euros for children. centre is hosting its charity race in aid of the Marbella Red Cross. &nbsp;The race will take place on the 27th of January and will follow its usual trajectory, starting by the hotel PYR in Puerto Ban\u00fas and ending in the Centro Plaza shopping centre. The event was presented this morning with the assistance the Councillor of Sports, Javier M\u00e9rida, the Head of Emergency Services for the Marbella Red Cross, &nbsp;Alejandro Fernandez and the manager of Centro Plaza shopping centre, Carlos Garc\u00eda. During the presentation, the Councillor &nbsp;pointed out the importance of these private initiatives which aid in the promotion of sporting and charity events and encouraged citizens to participate: \u201cIt is a pleasure for the Town Hall to participate in events like these\u201d added M\u00e9rida, who will not be running this year but will be present to support the event. &nbsp; Carlos Garc\u00eda, manager of Centro Plaza, highlighted that \u201cInscriptions can be made online, at centroplaza.es, through Dorsal Chip or in person at the Centro Plaza management offices which can be accessed directly from the parking lot of Centro Plaza, &nbsp;until noon on the 25th of January. For those who decide to enter last minute, they may do so at the starting point of the race before it begins, between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM\u201d. &nbsp; Inscription prices are 8 euros for adults and 3 euros for children. All funds raised will be donated to the Marbella Red Cross. \u201cThis year it will be used to reinforce the Emergency Services program\u201d, stated Alejandro Fern\u00e1ndez &nbsp;head of the Emergency Services for the Marbella Red Cross. \u201cWe are going to initiate a new emergency services program. &nbsp;Beginning in February the Red Cross will have a new ambulance that it has purchased that will be operational &nbsp;on weekends and public holidays for the municipality of Marbella. The ambulance together with its crew will be available to all those that need medical assistance. \u201d he concluded. The Centro Plaza race is a great charity event and a must go on the Marbella sports calendar. The event is supported by both public and private institutions including Siesta interior design, Frutas Eladio, ALC Global Health Insurance, Alssport.es, Abbey Wealth, Caf\u00e9 Yanx, Elegant Marbella Estates, CIT Marbella, REM, Apymem, Apymespa and the Marbella and San Pedro athletics clubs. The race begins by the Hotel PYR in Puerto Ban\u00fas on Rotary International Street at 10:00 AM. The track is 8 km long and runs through Puerto Ban\u00fas goes along the boardwalk to Victor\u00b4s Beach where it turns around and goes through Nueva Andaluc\u00eda. &nbsp;It is of medium difficulty encompassing upward and downward slopes and flat areas. The finishing line is in the Centro Plaza shopping centre on Manolete Street, 1, Nueva Andaluc\u00eda. Shorter courses have been selected for the minor categories. For benjamines and prebenjamines they will begin at 11:30 AM and their course will be 400 meters long, alevines will begin at 11:50 AM, and their course will be 800 metres long. The cadet category will start at 12:15 PM and have a course of 1600 metres. The participants can pick up their dorsals in the Centro Plaza administrative office which can be accessed directly from the exterior parking &nbsp;between 10:00 AM and 14:00 PM on the 24th and 25th of January, or on the 27th before the start of the race, between 08:30 AM and 09:30 AM at the starting line by the Hotel PYR in Puerto Ban\u00fas. The main provisioning point will be installed by the finishing line, with an auxiliary point at the half-way marker to provide water. Sanitary services and ambulances will also be located by the finishing line. All prizes will be handed over from mid-day onward in Centro Plaza. There will be trophies for the winners of the main race in both the male and female categories. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the top 3 of each group. The juvenile, junior, promising and senior categories will additionally receive a technical race t-shirt and the pre benjamin, benjamin, alevin, infantile and cadete categories will get a back pack. The winners of the Absolute categories &nbsp;as well as winners of the veteran categories will also be awarded a weekend stay in the Hotel
